My initial findings can be summed up with just one word. WOW!
Onto my observations. Probably like most people, I use Market Samurai for all my ranking stats - so why on earth would I want to shell out more pennies on yet another WP plugin?
To be honest, that's the first question that entered my mind when I saw this WSO for the "Ultimate Rank Protector".
Well, I've now been playing with it for about 30 minutes, and my initial findings can be summed up with just one word. WOW!
I use Daniel Tan's SEOPressor plugin for onsite SEO as it makes optimising content an absolute doddle - in fact, it's one of my top 5 tools that I use on a daily basis.
The Ultimate Rank Protector picks up where SEOPressor finishes - after all, it's one thing creating good content, but our real objective is to make sure that our content ranks highly in "Big G and Co" - and this is where the Ultimate Rank Protector excels.
The installation of this plugin was really straightforward, and after activation there are two new admin areas available.
The first of these new areas deals with tracking page rank and backlinks - and the good news is that all your WordPress pages and posts are automatically imported into the list.
Just add the keywords that you have optimised for, check the items you want to track and then hit the "Update Stats" button. In a few seconds, you get instant real time stats for each individual page / post - Google Page Rank, plus backlink totals from Google, Yahoo and Bing. But there's more.
In the second new area, hit the "Update Stats" button and you'll get the actual live page ranks for each page / post from Google, Yahoo and Bing for your chosen keywords!
Using this plugin is child's play, and it's a lot more convenient than using a separate program like Market Samurai - as everything is in one place. If one of your pages isn't ranking that well, you can immediately fix the problems there and then.
The choice of search engines can be tweaked in the plugin's admin area, and there is also the thoughtful option of using a proxy if you are checking zillions of pages in one hit.
My overall first impressions? Why didn't someone come up with this plugin years ago?
After all, there are loads of plugins which will help with SEO, but there aren't really any that I've seen which will easily let you get laser focused real-time search engine stats for individual pages & posts.
If SEO is important to you, you really do need to get this plugin as it will make your life a lot easier - as well as helping you to improve your rankings.
One final thought for you. This plugin is extremely powerful. Looking at all its features and benefits, it is easily worth the "typical WSO" $97 pricetag - even though it is initially being offered at a small fraction of that.
So, if you are even remotely interested, do yourself a favour and grab a copy while the price is low. Otherwise, you'll kick yourself when you come back in a day or two - only to find that the price has sky-rocketed ;-)

"Definitely worth the price"
I got this plugin and I’m really excited about it.I build SEO websites for offline clients and tracking page ranks for keywords is a nightmare. This plugin not only makes it easy but it also comes with a host of features. For example I optimize different pages for different keywords and the settings can be monitored to measure each of them individually – not just the home page.
They have also put some intelligent thought into it, for example to save on blog resources you can choose which pages / posts you want to monitor and although it can monitor the top 3 search engines they are not all on by default.
Another bonus is that my clients will love it. It looks very professional and is a valuable add on for them (no one else is offering this!). Also they can login to their website and see the results and progress for themselves without having to bother me all the time
I highly recommend this plugin whether you want to use it for your own sites or clients – it’s a great time saver.
I think anyone into SEO or dealing with offline clients will immediately see the benefit. Definitely worth the price.

Thanks Mike for creating this plug-in. The keyword rankings, PR and links are accurate, which I can't say about many of my other tools. The setup is easy and fairly intuitive.
I would like to see a bulk upload for adding keywords, or at least the ability to copy/paste numerous keywords for each page instead of one at a time, as I track a lot of keywords per page.
Some printable/exportable reporting to track rank changes over time would be great too.
The analysis process is relatively quick, and I haven't had any situations where I've been locked out of Google yet, so that's a big plus also.
All in all, if you want to track your SEO efforts inside WP, this tool is the best I've seen and well worth the price. It's newbie friendly, and easy for clients to understand.
